Biography
Nataša Gregorič Nábhas is a Slovenian painter, illustrator, author, and visual artist who works at the intersection of micro‑structures, subtle atmospheres, vibrational frequencies, and contemporary abstract approaches. Her works are created using watercolor on YUPO, ink, acrylic, collage, and epoxy resin on aluminum, paper, etc., forming layered surfaces that combine softness, rhythm, and a strong visual presence.
She holds an MFA from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia (2007) and is the author of more than thirty illustrated books. Her artworks have been exhibited in Slovenia, Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Croatia, and the United States, and she has participated in numerous artistic projects, workshops, and international submissions. She has received several professional recognitions, competions, including a certificate in applied artistic development and an award for contributions to contemporary visual programs.
She is a member of ZDSLU, the Slovenian Association of Academic Painters and Fine Artists, IBBY Slovenia, and the international platform WATWA (Where Are The Women Artists).
In recent years, her practice has increasingly focused on vibrational resonance, subtle perception, and quantum principles, translating these ideas into visual structures. She also develops pedagogical and heritage‑oriented content through art, creating learning experiences that cultivate attention, spatial awareness, and the transmission of cultural and natural heritage through contemporary visual language. She approaches painting as a space of beauty, presence, and quiet transformation, aiming to create high‑quality artworks that offer viewers and collectors enjoyment, replenishment, clarity, and inner harmony.
About Artwork
My work explores how small visual elements—dots, drops, bubbles, and traces of pigment—come together to form larger images, feelings, and atmospheres. I am drawn to the moment when abstract structures begin to suggest something recognizable, when a sense of space or story appears even though it remains open and undefined. Through watercolor, ink, acrylic, collage, and resin on YUPO or aluminum, I build layered surfaces that combine softness with intensity and invite slow, attentive looking.
Alongside this visual approach, my practice also explores the relationship between subtle spiritual perception, vibrational resonance, and the energetic qualities of color and texture. I am interested in how micro‑structures can carry a sense of frequency—how a painting can feel as if it is vibrating, shifting, or quietly influencing the viewer’s inner state. Many of my works grow from repeated marks and granular formations that create rhythmic fields, similar to Hz‑based resonance.
Although intuitive, my process is informed by ideas from quantum physics: matter as dynamic rather than solid, observation as an active force, and the smallest particles as relational and full of potential. I translate these concepts into visual form through surfaces that encourage presence, stillness, and a gentle inward focus.
I approach painting as a quiet healing space—an environment where attention softens, breath slows, and the viewer can reconnect with their own clarity. My goal is to create quality art works that feel alive, resonant, and quietly transformative—pieces shaped not only by intention but also by beauty. I want my paintings to offer the collector or viewer a space of enjoyment, replenishment, and gentle elevation, as if the artwork itself carries a subtle frequency that supports, nourishes, and restores inner clarity.

Artistic Practice
My artistic practice explores the relationship between micro-structures, atmosphere, emotion, and perception. I work intuitively with dots, drops, pigment traces, layers, and repeated marks, allowing small visual elements to gradually develop into larger fields of rhythm, light, and energy.
I approach each work as a process of discovery. Through watercolor, ink, acrylic, collage, and resin, I build layered surfaces in which softness and intensity coexist. I am interested in the moment when abstraction begins to suggest a space, a memory, or an emotional experience while remaining open to individual interpretation.
What drives my work is a fascination with subtle perception—the idea that seemingly small structures can carry rhythm, resonance, and emotional presence. I am inspired by nature, light, matter, and the invisible connections between things. My intention is to create works that invite the viewer to slow down, become present, and experience a sense of beauty, clarity, and quiet transformation.
Techniques & Materials
I work primarily with mixed media, combining watercolor, ink, acrylic, collage, and epoxy resin on surfaces such as YUPO paper, aluminum, and gessoed wood panels. My process is layered and intuitive. I build surfaces through repeated marks, dots, drops, pigment traces, and granular structures, gradually creating rhythm, depth, and atmospheric movement. I work with transparency, texture, and the interaction of color and light, allowing individual elements to accumulate into larger visual fields.Depending on the work, I incorporate UV-protective coatings to preserve and enhance the surface. The process is entirely manual, with each mark and micro-structure created by hand. This allows the material itself to participate in the development of the image, balancing controlled decisions with spontaneous discovery.
